Hon. Kevin Doyle

US District Court, District of Vermont

Judge Doyle is a United States Magistrate Judge in the District of Vermont.  He is a graduate of Georgetown University and Seton Hall Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor on the law review.  Prior to his appointment as Magistrate Judge, he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Vermont from 2007 to 2021, handling matters in both the Civil and Criminal Divisions, concluding his service as First Assistant U.S. Attorney.  After law school, he was a judicial law clerk in the District of Vermont, the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.  Judge Doyle has taught criminal law courses at Norwich University and Vermont Law School, and legal writing and appellate advocacy at the Justice Department’s National Advocacy Center.  He is a member of the American Law Institute.
