Webinar on Sharing Trade Secrets With Other Organizations

Date:  June 20, 2025

Time and time Zone: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm (Eastern Daylight Time)

Duration: One Hour

Sedona’s Working Group 12 on Trade Secrets is pleased to offer a webinar discussing its recently-published, consensus-based Commentary on Sharing Trade Secrets With Other Organizations (Public Comment Version)(“Commentary”).

This Commentary addresses the risk-benefit balance involved in disclosing trade secrets by focusing on protecting trade secrets before, during and after sharing, while not unreasonably hampering either party’s business operations or desire to engage in due diligence or a relationship.  It further includes a helpful Appendix which provides, in list form, some useful and important questions for those disclosing to and receiving trade secrets from a third-party organization.

This Commentary is intended as a resource for lawyers, judges, and in-house counsel, among others. In this webinar, a panel of drafting team members will provide an overview of the Commentary and solicit your input on what might be added or amended. The panel will also discuss how they anticipate that the Commentary can be most effectively utilized, and by whom.

Written feedback on the Commentary is welcome, via email to [email protected], by July 1, 2025.
