Patty is co-chair of the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. Her practice focuses on patent litigation for life sciences companies, including biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. PTO, and has experience in patent prosecution, patent interferences, and proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. A number of the firm's clients also retain her for intellectual property counseling and opinions, particularly focusing on patent inventorship, infringement and validity issues. In addition, she has been retained as a neutral mediator and as an expert witness on patent and trademark matters.
