Marimichael joined Kirkland & Ellis as a partner in 2001 after serving at the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Competition for twenty years. At the FTC, she was in a management position supervising the antitrust work of the FTC's regional offices and coordination the FTC's antitrust efforts with those of the state antitrust agencies. Before that position, Ms. Skubel was a senior litigation attorney leading investigations of mergers in the supermarket, oil and gas, chemical, and food products industries. Since joining Kirkland's D.C. office, Marimichael has focused on antitrust and consumer protection matters and has advised clients on merger and non-merger investigations conducted by federal and state antitrust enforcers.
