Ms. Schofield’s
practice consists of complex commercial litigation, including class actions,
securities, insurance and other business fraud; professional liability, contract and
commercial disputes. She also represents clients in regulatory and criminal
grand jury investigations. Prior to joining Debevoise & Plimpton, from 1984-
1988, Ms. Schofield served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Criminal
Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. She
has testified and provided commentary in connection with proposed changes to
the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure concerning class actions and discovery, and
has conducted mock trials for foreign and American lawyers in Hong Kong,
Argentina and England.
