Sidney Rocke

Mr. Rocke
joined the Office of the Inspector General in February 2000, in order to help
establish the newly certified Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. Previously, he served
as an Assistant Attorney General in Maryland, where he established an
innovative Health Care Fraud Unit at the Attorney General’s Office, which
focused on both fraud schemes aimed at financial gain, and health care crimes
that endangered patients. Prior to that, as a Special Prosecutor in the U.S. Dept.
of Health & Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Mr. Rocke handled a
wide variety of Medicare fraud matters. He was also Special Counsel to the
American Psychological Association, where he oversaw managed care litigation
nationwide, and provided advice and training to health care providers on fraud
and abuse.
