Carl is an adjunct professor of Internet/e-commerce law at Santa Clara University Law School and is a frequent speaker on Internet and e-commerce issues (particularly international issues). At Sun, he is the Assistant General Counsel for Global Partner Sales and eBusiness, and is responsible for advising Sun on its distribution and e-business issues within Asia-Pacific. He has also supported the marketing, brands and trademark groups at Sun. Carl is a director of the American Corporate Counsel Association and, prior to joining Sun, was the sole lawyer and patent manager in a pharmaceutical company, worked for an international law firm and was a research biochemist.
