David Medine
National Economic Council and FTC, Washington, DC
David has been a
Senior Advisor on the White House National Economic Council and previously
served as the Associate Director for Financial Practices, Bureau of Consumer
Protection, Federal Trade Commission. At the FTC he worked on a number of
policy issues relating to the development of electronic commerce, including
Internet privacy (he filed the FTC's lawsuit against ToySmart's bankruptcy
trustee to prevent the sale of customer information), electronic money, and
international consumer protection. David frequently testifies before
Congress on these issues and has also taught law at Indiana University and
the George Washington University National Law Center.
