The Hon. J. Thomas Marten
U.S. District Judge, District of Kansas, Wichita, KS.
Judge Marten currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Federal Judges
Association, on the Committee on Automation and Technology of the Judicial
Conference of the United States, and for more than a decade has taught trial
advocacy at Harvard Law School’s trial advocacy workshop. He was appointed
to the bench in January, 1996, after a clerkship with Assoc. Justice Tom Clark
and nearly twenty years of private practice trying a broad range of complex civil
and criminal cases. Since joining the bench, he has continued to handle civil
and criminal matters of all kinds, including significant antitrust litigation.
J. Thomas Marten is on the Advisory Board for The Sedona Conference.
