Cecil is a Shareholder at Littler Mendelson, P.C., in Phoenix. Cecil is a recognized thought leader in the area of electronic discovery and speaks and publishes on a wide variety of e-discovery topics including document review, document retention, data accessibility and international e-discovery. He is an active member of The Sedona ConferenceŽ Working Group (WG1) on Electronic Document Retention and Production and serves as an instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) where he teaches courses in electronic discovery, deposition skills and trial advocacy. Cecil understands the corporate law department environment having worked as general counsel for an international apparel company. In addition, he served as a trial attorney for the Civil Rights Division, Criminal Section of the U.S. Department of Justice and as a special prosecutor for the National Church Arson Task Force. He is a former adjunct professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California and he currently teaches a university-level e-discovery certification program at Cal State University, Fullerton.
