Rachel is a partner in the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerster. Her patent controversy practice includes district court, International Trade Commission, and appellate experience, pre-litigation and licensing
strategy analysis, as well as experience in related proceedings, such as reexaminations and interferences. Rachel's cases involve a variety of electrical engineering and life sciences technologies. She was awarded
the 2008 "California Lawyer of the Year" (CLAY) award in the IP category, named in 2008 and 2009 as one of California's "Top IP Litigators" by the Daily Journal, and is perennially ranked as a recommended IP lawyer by Chambers. She also appeared on the front cover of the March 2008 issue of American Lawyer magazine for her work in Forgent v. EchoStar, in which she and her team won a rare defense jury verdict in the Eastern District of Texas.
