William Kovacic

William is the General Counsel of the U.S, Federal Trade Commission,
which he joined in June 2001. He is on leave from the George Washington
University Law School, where has served as a professor since 1999. William is the E.K. Gubin Professor of Government Contracts Law at George Washington University Law School. Before joining GWU, Professor Kovacic was the George Mason University Foundation Professor at the George Mason University School of Law. He is a recognized expert in both antitrust law and government contracts law and has published extensively in both fields. Since 1992 Professor Kovacic has served as an adviser on antitrust and consumer protection issues to the governments of Benin, Egypt, El Salvador, Georgia, Guyana, Indonesia, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Panama, Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.
