Kent Jarrell

Kent, senior vice president, directs APCO's litigation communication practice and also works in the area of crisis management. He has consulted on several hundred cases in the United States, Canada, Asia, Africa and Europe including: auto design, auto rollover, tires, hostile takeovers, corporate restructuring, chemical plant explosions, consumer recalls, airplane crashes, breast implants and wrongful medication deaths. In addition, Kent has worked closely with scientists, researchers and physicians on message development and preparation for witness testimony concerning health and science issues. As a broadcast journalist for more than 20 years, Kent gained a reputation as the parachute man for both CBS News and WUSA-TV in Washington, DC. He has reported from 41 states and 13 countries, covered five presidencies, several presidential campaigns and conventions and virtually every U.S. disaster, from Three Mile Island to the crash of TWA flight 800. Kent is the author of Litigation Communication: A Road Map to an Emerging Art, published by The National Legal Center.
