Sharon specializes in intellectual property law with an emphasis in patent litigation, opinion work, and client counseling. She has litigated patents relating to a variety of technologies, including telecommunications, electrical devices, chemical compositions, medical devices, mechanical devices, and oilfield equipment. She has also served as counsel in cases involving trademark infringement, copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, and infringement under the Plant Variety Protection Act. Before entering private practice, Sharon served as law clerk to the Hon. Alan D. Lourie, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and as an engineer with General Electric Company. She holds a B.S degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as both an M.B.A. and J.D. from Emory University.
