Hon. Morris B. Hoffman

Judge Hoffman was appointed to the Denver District Court in December 1990. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he was in private practice in Denver, specializing in commercial litigation, real estate and bankruptcy law as partner at Mosley, Wells, Johnson and Ruttum and associate at Mosley, Wells and Spence. Judge Hoffman is Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Colorado, where he teaches Jury History and Selection; and at the University of Denver, where he teaches Law and the Biology of Human Nature. He has published extensively in such journals as the University of Chicago Law Review, Duke Law Journal and Stanford Law Review, specializing on the intersection of law and psychology; serves as is judge-in-residence at the Gruter Institute for Law and Behavioral Research; and was nominated in 2002 to be a fellow at Stanford's Center for the Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences.
Morris B. Hoffman is on the Advisory Board for The Sedona Conference.
