Carol is a former Magistrate Judge in the Western District of New York, now a trial partner at Harter Secrest & Emery, a large upstate N.Y. firm. She has also served as a trial attorney with the U.S. DOJ and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Buffalo. Carol specializes in complex business litigation, including securities fraud, unfair competition, patent litigation and ERISA. Carol also serves on the Federal Judicial Center’s education committee for Magistrate Judges, and has published several articles on evidence.
