Jim is a barrister in London, with the chambers of 7 King's Bench Walk, Temple. He is an experienced advocate specialising in all areas of commercial litigation and arbitration (both domestic and international). Jim's practice follows the business conducted by the Commercial Court in London: insurance and reinsurance; sale of goods/commodities; shipping and the carriage of goods; and related jurisdictional issues. He was also seconded to the Financial Services Authority and regularly advises on the matters relating to the regulation of insurance in the UK. Jim is a Chartered Arbitrator and Fellow and of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is also a court-appointed Examiner, and is regularly involved as such in the taking of evidence in the UK for use in US proceedings. Prior to coming to London in 1998, Jim was in private practice for 15 years in Sydney and in New York (and is also admitted in both jurisdictions).
