Kris Dekeyser
European Commission, Directorate General for Competition Policy
Kris joined the European Commission in 1989, where he has worked mainly in the Directorate General for competition policy. From 2000 to 2003, he served as deputy head of unit of the general policy and coordination unit, where he was responsible for internal co-ordination of individual cases in the field of mergers and anti-trust. Since September 2003, Kris has been the head of the unit in charge of the European Competition Network. He is also responsible for the Private Enforcement initiative (damages actions for breach of the EC antitrust rules) and is closely involved in the development of the Commission's policy on cartels (leniency, settlements, fines, etc.)
