Joe S. Cecil

Joe is a Senior Research Associate at the FJC and Project Director of its Program on Scientific and Technical Evidence. He is the principle editor of the Reference Manual on Scientific Evidence and has published several reports on the use of court-appointed experts. His other areas of research include federal civil and appellate procedure and jury competence in complex civil litigation. He serves on the editorial boards of social science and legal journals, and is a regular speaker on National Academy of Sciences panels. Joe received his J.D. and Ph.D. in Psychology from Northwestern University.
Joe S. Cecil is on the Advisory Board for The Sedona Conference.
