Professor Calkins teaches courses and seminars in antitrust and trade regulation, consumer law, and torts. He also serves of counsel to Covington & Burling, the Washington, D.C., firm with which he practiced before entering academia. During 1995-97, Professor Calkins served as General Counsel of the FTC. He is a member of the American Law Institute, serves on the Council of the ABA Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice and was a committee chair and former Council member for the ABA Section of Antitrust Law.
