As a trial attorney in the Antitrust Division of the DOJ, Kent has extensive experience in civil and criminal antitrust enforcement in many industries. For the past decade his work has focused on merger and civil nonmerger enforcement in complex markets involving information technology products and services, Internet and other electronic services, financial services and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. He also served as a U.S. Advisor to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (1997) and Chief of the Antitrust Division's Chicago Office (1986-1994).
