James Brosnahan

Mr. Brosnahan
earned his LL.B. from Harvard in 1959; in 1961, his post-law school career led to
five years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney prosecuting federal cases in Phoenix, AZ
and San Francisco, CA. He has particular expertise in civil and criminal trial work
and has tried 135 jury cases. In 1992, Mr. Brosnahan was a member of the Office
of the Independent Counsel which prosecuted Caspar Weinberger in the Iran-
Contra case. He was inducted into the State Bar of California’s "Trial Lawyers Hall
of Fame" in April, 1996, he was awarded the "Samuel E. Gates Award" by the
American College of Trial Lawyers in October 2000 and he was named the "Trial
Lawyer of the Year" by the American Board of Trial Advocates in October 2001. In
January, 2003, Jim received the Justice William Brennen award from the University
of Virginia. The National Law Journal named him as one of the country’s 10 best
trial lawyers as well as one of the most influential.
