Steve is Managing Partner of Jones Day and was Partner-in-Charge of the Firm's Washington Office from 1989 through 2002. He has a broad and extensive practice in complex litigation matters, including product liability, securities, banking, contests for corporate control and others. He has played a major role in many significant matters including the representation of: General Motors Corporation in the GM-Toyota joint venture, air-bag safety, and Cadillac V8-6-4 litigation; Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. in product liability litigation; and First American Corporation and First American Bankshares, Inc. in proceedings and investigations arising from the collapse of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International.
