Don Barrett was a leader in the state attorneys general tobacco litigation, and his tobacco experiences have been featured in several books and on national television. He has trial verdicts around the country totaling more than a billion dollars, and non-tobacco settlements of other litigated cases totaling more than a billion dollars. He was or is court-appointed lead or co-lead plaintiff's counsel in five different MDL cases. He and his wife Nancy have been married for thirty-nine years and have three children, all of whom practice law in his firm in Lexington, MS.
