served as Director of the Bureau of Competition of the Federal Trade
Commission, where he oversaw the Commission's antitrust enforcement efforts,

Depot and drug wholesaler mergers, Time Warner’s acquisition of Turner
Broadcasting System, the Ciba-Giegy/Sandoz mergers and challenges to the alleged
