Joseph M. Alioto
Alioto Law Firm, San Francisco, CA
Joe has been prosecuting
private antitrust cases exclusively for the last 30+ years. He has tried cases under
every section of the antitrust laws, involving monopoly, attempts to monopolize,
conspiracies to monopolize, price-fixing, group boycotts, tie-ins, market and
customer allocations, Rule of Reason, price discrimination, interlocking
directorates, anti-mergers and acquisitions, commercial bribery drawbacks, rebates,
misuse of patents, and others. In 1974, he represented the plaintiffs resulting in the
largest judgment in the history of the antitrust laws up to that time, and in 1981,
with Dan Shulman, he represented the plaintiffs in a case resulting in the largest
judgment for individuals in the antitrust laws up to that time.
Joseph M. Alioto is on the Advisory Board for The Sedona Conference.
