Achieving Quality in the E-Discovery Process
May 20, 2009
01:00pm -
02:15pm Eastern
The legal profession is at a crossroads: the choice is between continuing to conduct discovery as it has 'always been practiced' in the paper world - before the advent of computers, the Internet, and the exponential growth of electronically stored information - or embracing new ways of thinking in today's digital world. Recent case law, including In re Seroquel, Victor Stanley, and William A. Gross Construction, and a renewed emphasis on the requirement of Rule 26(g) that a production is "complete and correct" based on "a reasonable inquiry," demonstrate that the bar has risen as to what courts consider acceptable practice in e-discovery and the need to do some kind of verification or quality testing in preservation, collection, review, production, and privilege logging.
This webinar will introduce a new Commentary from The Sedona ConferenceŽ Working Group 1, "Achieving Quality in the E-Discovery Process," which discusses the need for greater use of project management, sampling, and other forms of metrics and measures aimed at improving the quality of e-discovery. We are NOT seeking MCLE accreditation for this program. Pricing: $79 Working Group Members of The Sedona Conference® $99 General Public Watch This Seminar Now!
